About the Role

 

In this position, you’ll play a key role in building ANZ Local Markets FX capabilities with a strong focus on developing and maintaining Local Markets Currency trading capabilities, delivering incremental financial results while supporting all facets of Markets Trading and Sales business.  The role plays a key part in expanding and sustaining ANZ’s market share in FX, through voice market-making and digital solutions. The primary responsibility will focus on market making and risk management of Asia Local Markets FX products (Spot, Forwards, Swaps, and NDFs).

What will your day look like?

 

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:      

 

  • Work with product and global sales teams to jointly build out the business franchise profitability, risk and compliance.
  • Promote collaboration to achieve FX trading (sales and trading) financial targets.
  • Able to market make across a range of FX offerings - Spot, Forwards, Swaps and NDF.
  • Manage and monetise external eFX flows, and management of FX internalisation.
  • Collaboration with Sales to grow FX franchise, primarily in deliverable FX.
  • Performed detailed data analysis to identify changing client trends, implementing change to increase franchise including internal flows.
  • Ensure consistent, competitive and timely pricing to internal and external customers.
  • Improve Risk Awareness & Risk Culture - ensure trading within approved limits and compliance with all internal and external requirements.
  • Ensure all activities undertaken meet internal policies and procedures whilst maintaining safe and fair markets.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

 

  • Proven currency trading experience with strong background in deliverable currencies across a range of FX products.
  • Good risk management skill set and willing to work in high pressure environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of FX regulatory framework requirements and Global FX Code of Conduct.
  • Good understanding of the front to back operations of the trading businesses.
  • Strong client services ethic, subject to compliance and regulatory controls. 
  • Experience in dealing with internal and external clients, with strong customer focus and ability to drive results.
  • Knowledge or experience of AI or computer programming will be a strong advantage.
  • A collaborative team player who works effectively with diverse stakeholders.
