About the Role
Based in Hong Kong, this client-facing role focuses on delivering risk management services across a range of Markets products to offshore China institutional and corporate clients. Working closely with Relationship Managers, onshore sales and structuring teams, you will ensure seamless onboarding, effective portfolio management and proactive client engagement. You will be actively involved in sales, providing FX, Interest Rate and Commodity solutions, identifying cross-sell opportunities across the product suite, and driving franchise revenue growth through long-term client relationships.
This position is subject to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (MRC Scheme), which strengthens integrity in the banking sector through enhanced vetting of individuals applying for certain roles. What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Maximise desk revenue by delivering FX, Interest Rate and Commodity solutions to the target client base.
- Support franchise revenue growth through effective cross‑selling in partnership with structuring and onshore sales.
- Actively promote product penetration and cross‑sell across the existing Markets client base.
- Support execution of the Markets and International Institutional Sales strategy in Asia.
- Promote strong risk awareness and risk culture, ensuring sound limit management and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Risk, Credit and Enablement partners to identify, manage and mitigate client and transactional risks.
- Implement and monitor front‑office controls and deal processes to minimise operational and processing risks.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, while role‑modelling ANZ values and high-performance standards.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Solid Markets Sales experience with strong knowledge across relevant asset classes and market dynamics.
- Proven sales experience with Corporate and Institutional clients, covering multiple asset classes.
- Strong understanding of Markets products, processes and regulatory frameworks across Asia‑Pacific jurisdictions where ANZ operates.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, geographies and time zones.
- Strong client focus, with a track record of building relationships and negotiating effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all seniority levels.
- Fluency in Mandarin (verbal and written) is essential.
