About the Role
As an Associate, Debt Capital Markets, you will support a broader team in tasks with exposure to Asia debt markets across various countries in the North Asia region. In this role, you will help the North Asia team in the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions. Core Focus Countries would be Korea, Hong Kong.
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time
What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist and / or lead the preparation and review of marketing materials, pitch books, offering documents, and investor presentations for DCM transactions.
- Take ownership of transaction execution workstreams, including liaising with issuers, syndicate, legal, ratings agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis and provide market insights to support origination efforts in Greater China, Korea, and Japan.
- Mentor junior team members and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Monitor market developments and client activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Support senior team members in client relationship management and deal execution.
- Work with DCM Desk peers to support the development of the Debt Capital business.
- Meet all regulatory & compliance requirements within specified time parameters.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Previous experience in the financial markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, acute analytical thinking abilities, and a quick learner.
- Highly organised with the ability to handle an atmosphere of demanding high-pressure work
- Proficiency in Korean will be a priority but also ability to maintain coverage of other North Asian clients so a high level of English is a must.
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to build solid internal / external relationships.
