About the Role

 

As an Analyst, Debt Capital Markets, you will support a broader team in tasks with exposure to Asia debt markets across various countries in the North Asia region. In this role, you will help the North Asia team in the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions. Core Focus Countries would be China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan.

 

Role Type: Permanent, Full Time

What will your day look like?

 

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:      

 

  • Assist in the origination and execution of DCM transactions, particularly investment-grade, high yield, and hybrid offerings.
  • Prepare marketing materials, pitch books, bond documentation, investor presentations, and market updates.
  • Conduct credit and market analysis on issuers.
  • Maintain and develop financial models and databases relevant to DCM activity.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance, syndicate, ratings advisory, and coverage teams.
  • Support senior team members in client relationship management and deal execution.
  • Work with DCM Desk peers to support the development of the Debt Capital business.
  • Meet all regulatory & compliance requirements within specified time parameters.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

 

  • Relevant experience in investment banking, capital markets, or related financial services (Analyst or Associate level).
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, acute analytical thinking abilities, and a quick learner.
  • Solid understanding of fixed income products and Asian debt capital markets.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) will be a priority but also ability to maintain coverage of other North Asian clients so a high level of English is a must.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to build solid internal / external relationships.
