The Assistant Manager role is critical to making this happen. In this role, you will assist the Relationship Managerto develop sustained business growth whilst maintaining sound risk management to ensure that a quality portfoliois maintained. You will conduct analysis of clients’ financial statements, annual review of financial performanceand lending facilities; assist clients with internet banking, credit cards, merchant facilities and other electronic transaction.

 

You will also participate in the onboarding process and credit approval activities whilst maintaining appropriatecredit quality standards. You will also communicate with customers, by efficiently responding to queries andproblem resolution.

What will your day look like?

Working with your Relationship Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of customers by:

  • Proactively developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of the customer’s business and financial needs
  • Acting in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer-centric approach, to support the customer’s business needs with suitable products and services
  • Providing appropriate solutions towards account maintenance and customer needs
  • Maintaining a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Maintaining control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfilment process
  • Collaborating with product partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customer needs

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Strong financial analysis and understanding of the structuring of security arrangements
  • Experience in managing compliance/ annual reviews
  • Demonstrated Customer service and Sales skills (internal and external) including relationship building
  • Excellent Communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Interpersonal Skills: confidence, professionalism, integrity and strong sense of accountability
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Sound agribusiness knowledge or agribusiness banking experience would be an advantage
