Mō te tūranga - About the role
The Agri Relationship Associate is responsible for supporting Agri Relationship Managers (RM) in making banking easier for customers and providing customer solutions and insights by conducting financial analysis, and lending support for designated customer groups. In this role, you will develop credit and relationship skills and within 12 months of role commencement they may hold a small CAD and manage three or more accounts (at Senior Manager and credit discretion). This role is ideal for emerging staff with the potential to take on Agri Relationship Management responsibilities.

Hours: Standard, Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs

The Agri Relationship Associate is critical to making this happen and key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Listen, respect and value customers to learn more about them and gain a greater understanding of their business requirements and service needs
- Work with Agri Relationship Managers/ Senior Managers and product partners to develop and deliver appropriate customer solutions and resolve concerns
- Provide support for financial analysis and interpretation of customer information to ensure accurate credit decisions are made at all times
- Assist in maintaining and growing customer base through building strong customer relationships and providing effective solutions to customer needs with our banking products and delivering insights to support our customers be successful
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Passion and understanding of the agriculture sector within New Zealand
- Experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery role
- Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends
- Tertiary qualification in a financial discipline or previous financial/lending experience
- Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements
- Experience within the Banking and/or Finance industry
