About the Role

 

Working with a dedicated Assistant Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of customers in predominantly the Agribusiness and generalist commercial industries, to drive growth through acquisition, increasing share of wallet and referrals. 

 

Solving complex challenges, you’ll deepen your technical expertise across banking products such as working capital financing, term debt financing, cash and transactional banking facilities.  

 

Agribusiness is a targeted growth area of ANZ’s commercial strategy, backed by a supportive, results-driven leadership team and investment in new systems and technologies. What will your day look like?

 

As a Relationship Manager, you are accountable for: 

 

  • Managing a portfolio of Agribusiness and commercial customers with business debt requirements of between $1.5 million through to $5 million
  • Proactively collaborating with product and credit partners to provide customers with appropriate solutions
  • Building valued relationships with operations teams to build efficiencies and minimise non lending losses 
  • Applying strong credit and industry portfolio analysis skills towards credit proposal recommendations 
  • Managing compliance and assessing both new and existing transactions 
  • Adhering to Group Audit requirements, meeting QA and Audit compliance standards, and ensuring all matters raised are addressed in a timely and efficient manner 
  • Working closely with lending services to minimise provisions 
  • Developing and maintaining a strong awareness of the relevant agribusiness industry, key trends, economic trends and market forces.

  • Collaborating with Product Partners and the broader credit team to structure deals 
  • Building valued relationships with operations teams to build efficiencies and minimise non lending losses 
  • Applying strong credit and industry portfolio analysis skills towards credit proposal recommendations 
  • Managing compliance and assessing both new and existing transactions 
  • Adhering to Group Audit requirements, meeting QA and Audit compliance standards, and ensuring all matters raised are addressed in a timely and efficient manner 
  • Working closely with lending services to minimise provisions 
  • Demonstrating mastery of your specialisation, skills and capabilities within the Commercial mid-market & specialist segment domains 
  • Developing and maintaining a strong awareness of the relevant agribusiness industry, key trends, economic trends and market forces.
