About the Role

As an Assurance and Well Managed Associate in in the Australia Commercial NFR Process and Solutions team, you’ll play a key role in helping to support the uplift of a process-driven approach for non-financial risk management across Australia Commercial division. This role is responsible for providing 1st line operational risk management, assurance and well managed support to High Impact Process and Important Business Operations within the Australia Commercial Division, including the identification and mapping of risk information (including risks, controls, issues, events) to processes, and providing assurance over the quality and adequacy of the control environment across the end-to-end process.

What will your day look like?

As an Assurance and Well Managed Associate, you will be expected to: 

  • Critically assess control design and placement and determine approaches for optimization across the end-to-end process

  • Provide reporting and insights, identify trends and make recommendations in relation to how risks are being managed, and controls are operating across the end-to-end process

  • Support the mapping of risk data (including risks, controls, issues) to process maps

  • Support the reporting of risk data to management forums

What will you bring?

  • Risk and issue management: The ability to identify and assess risks, determine the corrective action required to control or eliminate the risks and effectively manage issues that arise.

  • Controls design: The ability to specify and designing controls (e.g. a process, device or practice) to prevent, detect or remediate identified risks.

  • Commercial Acumen: The ability to take a big picture view of the organisation, the market, the external and internal pressures and identify actions or strategies to drive efficiency and create long term value.

  • Data analysis: Collecting, profiling and analysing data to translate into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions.

  • Influencing: The ability to gain the commitment of others through a range of techniques

  • Problem Solving: The ability to identify and critically evaluate problems, and/or interconnections and patterns across a broader system for the purpose of finding and implementing a solution.

  • Compliance and Policy Management: Identifying and interpreting applicable laws, rules, codes and standards to create and/or manage policies, processes and procedures, including how these are organised reviewed and communicated.
