As a Manager Home Loans within our Southern Provincial Customer Engagement team, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading, coaching, and developing a team of Mobile Mortgage Managers. You’ll empower your team to confidently support customers across a wide range of home‑lending needs, while championing an outstanding experience at every stage of the home‑buying journey. The Manager, Home Loans position is a dynamic and impactful role with a broad range of responsibilities. Some of your day-to-day activities may include the below:

 

  • Champion an exceptional end‑to‑end customer experience, leading Mobile Mortgage Managers to deliver trusted, high‑quality service at every stage of the home‑buying journey.
  • Drive regional home‑lending performance by setting clear direction, building momentum, and enabling your team to meet customer needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead and manage the home‑loan pipeline, ensuring opportunities are triaged to the right Mobile Mortgage Manager while balancing customer outcomes, workload, and development opportunities.
  • Act as a day‑to‑day escalation point, providing coaching, troubleshooting support, and quality assurance to ensure strong credit decisions and lending outcomes.
  • Develop and coach Mobile Mortgage Managers at all levels, providing on‑the‑job training, technical guidance, and clear pathways for growth and progression.
  • Own people leadership responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, and contributing to broader home‑lending strategy, change, and leadership capability across the region.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven people leadership capability, with experience coaching, developing, and motivating home loan lenders and/or mobile lenders to perform at their best.
  • Strong ability to build a customer‑centric culture, delivering exceptional service to a diverse range of home‑lending customers—from first‑home buyers through to experienced investors.
  • Deep knowledge of the end‑to‑end home‑buying journey, with strong expertise in lending policy, risk assessment, and pricing principles.
  • Solid understanding of lending systems, processes, and operational environments, enabling effective decision‑making and quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating across internal and external networks.
  • Work collaboratively with other leaders and teams across ANZ to unite people towards a common goal and purpose.
