The Relationship Manager is critical to making this happen and key responsibilities of the role will include the following:

  • Develop, maintain and grow a customer portfolio with sustainable long-term client relationships

  • Create simpler banking experiences and deliver strong outcomes for customers by taking the time to understand them and the individual needs of their businesses

  • Align with overall business strategies of sourcing new business, maximising existing business, and increasing effectiveness, along with keeping abreast of the market and economic trends

  • Collaborate with product partners and other important stakeholders to ensure effective and value added solutions are identified for customers, whilst minimising all potential risks to ANZ

  • Leverage your strong financial analysis, stakeholder management and communication skills, to provide customer solutions and proactive insights, directly contributing to ANZ’s purpose

Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven experience in relationship management, business development, portfolio and/or account management

  • Previous experience in banking/financial/accounting, or relevant business experience would be beneficial, but not essential

  • Confident relationship building skills in networking, negotiating and influencing to enhance customer relationships, and growth in portfolios

  • An analytical and growth mind set, with experience in evaluating financial accounts, budgets and cash-flow

  • Expertise translating information into insights

  • Ability to be proactive, approach challenges with a ‘can-do’ attitude, and act decisively with information on hand
