Role type: Full-time, 12 month secondment/fixed-term opportunity


The mission for the APRA Remediation Tribe is to improve the Business Lending process and risk management framework through the delivery of remediation actions - the primary focus will be on the Business Lending APRA remediation work.


As a Change Journey Expert, you will drive the change effort across both DocXchange and ANZ Redact as we roll out and embed interesting new Features for the end-to-end Business Lending journey. This will be achieved by refining processes, implementing a new system, improving the risk management framework with focus on the banker and customer experience through a digital portal.

Working closely with cross-divisional stakeholders, you will join a multi-disciplinary project team to ensure change planning, delivery and embedment is tailored to drive business readiness and adoption. 

What will your day look like

The Change Journey Expert will report to the Change Chapter Lead and will join the chapter to actively build change capability and drive consistency in how change is delivered across the Tribe.


With the customer and banker at the heart of your decision making, this role will:


  • Drive change management planning and delivery, ensuring frontline and operational teams are well prepared with updated processes, training and communications to deliver the optimal experience and ensure the business is well prepared to meet compliance and regulatory obligations

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure change is delivered seamlessly

  • Work with Stream Leads and the project team to optimise the customer and banker experience and ensure that all impacts and dependencies are considered

  • Define, deliver and execute communications, training and engagement strategy ensuring change is successfully implemented and embedded

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the ANZ change playbook, toolkits (e.g. tools and templates)

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong change management experience (banking or financial services experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of the commercial and retail lending environment within ANZ will be highly regarded

  • Experience providing change expertise on lending or operations focused projects or an originations platform preferred

  • Track record in executing people change activities in medium to large programs of work (e.g. conducting stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments and developing change plans)

  • Experience and knowledge of current change management principles, methodologies and tools (training and experience with formal & structured change management methods is preferred)

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and develop/maintain relationships

  • Flexible and adaptable (able to work in ambiguous, fast paced and cross-functional team environments)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deliver clear, simple & effective styles of facilitation

  • Comprehensive understanding of a range of problem-solving techniques to solve highly complex and ambiguous problems

  • A strong execution mindset and ability to deliver quality outputs within required timeframes, and be able to make decisions autonomously and communicate direction, rationale and outcomes clearly

  • Ideally you may also have had some exposure to or experience in Agile methods of working including use of tools such as Jira and or Confluencea
