About the Role
The Credit Card and Personal Lending (CCPL) Tribe is seeking a talented and engaged Strategy and Planning Manager to drive the commercial and product strategy for the Commercial Cards squad.
The Commercial Cards squad is responsible for the end-to-end product management of two key product suites – Business Credit Cards for small to medium sized businesses, and Corporate Cards for the bank’s institutional clients. The squad is also responsible for P&L management and driving the momentum agenda, including customer journey uplift, acquisition, and new propositions.
The role will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Cards team in commercial insights, monitoring product performance and business strategy.

What will your day look like?
As a Strategy and Planning Manager in the Commercial Cards Squad, you will be accountable for:

Developing strategy and translatable product roadmaps for both Business Credit Cards and Corporate Credit Cards businesses

Developing business cases, quantifying the financial implications, and exploring non-financial aspects of innovative propositions and solutions to better meet customer needs and improve business performance

Leading Quarterly and Monthly Business reviews to a wide range of senior stakeholders.

Working with the P&L and interpreting drivers and impacts that shape commercial decisions

Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders within a wide range of internal ANZ Business units: Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking, Strategic Partnerships, Banker Network, Credit Risk and Legal.

Maintaining and growing the commercial relationships with external partners: Qantas, Visa and Velocity

Product performance and portfolio optimisation – using data to monitor current performance and drive decisions to optimise through portfolio mix, pricing, or product changes

Leading CCPL’s accountabilities in the product commercialisation for go to market initiatives and new propositions
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Experienced in a similar commercial strategy role (Consulting, Finance, Procurement, etc.)

Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.

Very strong Microsoft Office skills; esp.: Excel and PowerPoint
-
Deep financial modelling experience and commercial acumen with a strong understanding of the P&L and the drivers/impacts of commercial decisions

Very strong written and verbal communication, with experience in presenting to C-Suite Executives.

Previous experience with implementation of improvements, including: planning, working with stakeholders and delivering the change.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong influencing and relationship building skills. Ability to obtain/negotiate outcomes through others

Demonstrated experience with Continuous Improvement approaches including root cause analysis, solution design and implementation
