About the Role
The Senior Culture Specialist plays a key role within the Culture and Leader Experience team at ANZ, supporting the design and activation of cultural artefacts, programs and leader led experiences as the organisation continues to evolve its culture.
The role partners across the enterprise to design and implement practical, inclusive and scalable culture activation solutions that embed desired behaviours into everyday ways of working and leadership practices. Through strong collaboration and commercial acumen, the role contributes to measurable and sustainable cultural impact aligned to ANZ’s strategy and values.

What will your day look like?
- Design and develop culture activation and leader experience solutions across a blend of modalities (e.g. artefacts, programs, experiences, communications), ensuring initiatives are inclusive, scalable, embedded and aligned to ANZ’s strategy and values.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships across the enterprise, applying advanced consulting skills to distil diverse insights into prioritised, commercial and practical culture activation designs that influence outcomes.
- Guide the successful testing, refinement and delivery of solutions, applying sound judgement to navigate complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Partner with Communications, Change and People teams to integrate cultural messaging and activation into enterprise initiatives and transformation activity.
- Provide expert input and advice to leaders and stakeholders over time, supporting consulting style engagements that embed culture into everyday leadership and ways of working.
- Apply strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic mindset to simplify solutions and maximise sustainable impact.
- Work closely with any vendors and divisional delivery teams to support the delivery of key culture and capability initiatives, including adherence to governance and regulatory requirements

Must have’ knowledge, skills and experiences
- Demonstrated experience designing, maintaining or enhancing culture programs, with evidence of delivering measurable and sustainable impact.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management capability, including the credibility and judgement to work with senior stakeholders to shape, influence and deliver culture and capability initiatives.
- Proven ability to distil diverse insights, data and perspectives into prioritised, practical and commercially sound culture activation designs.
- Advanced influencing skills, with the ability to build and sustain deep, trusted relationships across a diverse group of enterprise stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build culture activation solutions across a blend of modalities (e.g. artefacts, programs, experiences, communications), supporting successful testing, refinement and adoption.
- Strong analytical capability to assess culture outcomes, identify priority areas for intervention, and translate insights into focused solutions that drive meaningful behaviour change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- High level of comfort working through ambiguity and complexity to solve novel problems and deliver outcomes in a fast paced environment.
- Strong outcomes orientation, commercial acumen and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to work at pace in a high performance culture.
