About the Role
As a Senior (Lead) Business Analyst in the Lending Transformation Team, you will help us deliver on our mission to improve the end-to-end Lending Origination ecosystem by refining processes, implementing a new system and strengthening the risk management framework and infrastructure. Leading a Team of Business Analysts, you will be accountable for developing the frameworks and recommending tools and methodologies to support the successful delivery of initiatives within Lending Transformation focused on Origination.
A seasoned delivery professional, You will be an integral part of an exciting initiative to transform our Business Lending ecosystem by delivering a new origination platform for Commercial Australia. You will work within a broader program of work, whose role is to design, build and test the platform, leveraging best in class technology and delivery methodology. The new platform will be integrated with other ANZ systems to drive a seamless banker experience, covering all credit origination and management activities to replace legacy systems and manual processes.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
- Lead the business design and development of transforming business capabilities and processes that enable the objectives of the Project to be achieved, including:
- Leading and enabling the simplification of lending processes, policies and products across the business to drive lending transformation.
- Supporting current state process documentation
- Lead future state process definition and documentation
- Supporting business requirement elicitation
- Facilitating working groups with key stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities and progress initiatives to improve the lending process.
- Executing User Acceptance Testing to ensure the developed product meets user, credit policy and process requirements.
- Ensuring the project embeds BAU policy changes to maintain compliance of the future solution.
- Collaborating with Commercial Governance and Group Credit Risk stakeholders to ensure that new policies, procedures and requirements are consistent with APRA prudential standards, and Bank appetite.
- Working with Commercial Lend and Grow stakeholders and other Project team members to identify risks and developing appropriate treatment plans and mitigations that ensure that the programme improves the overall risk profile of Commercial Lending at ANZ
- Being an advocate for change within the programme and across the business, helping influence stakeholders on improved ways to achieve outcomes that are better for customers, bankers and Risk by challenging the status quo.
- Support and where required, facilitate the implementation of releases to end users.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A can-do attitude and willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ with the team to get delivery across the line in a fast-paced environment, flexing consistently between your SME capabilities and squad priorities that require swarming.
- Must have (not optional) Lending Experience, Transformation Delivery experience.
- Strong functional experience or expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Business Analysis, Project/PMO Management, Test Management and/or Execution, and/or Change Management.
- Strong communication/presentation skills and be highly experienced in preparing and conducting workshops, eliciting, documenting and managing requirements using a broad range of innovative elicitation practices/techniques (i.e. HCD Toolkit, Process Modelling, Use Cases, Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Interface Specifications etc.)
- Experience leveraging data systems and tools and conducting detailed analytical activities such as process modelling, testing, gap analysis, solution assessment and change transition to meet customers’ business needs.
- Experience in creating and owning risk and change analysis documentation and exposure to change/project governance frameworks.
- Experience with business case creation and analysis, cost/value estimations and project benchmarking against these metrics.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, Teams etc.).
- You have a record of delivering on time and budget with different project delivery methodologies and internal governance frameworks with some experience in Agile delivery, displaying initiative with a demonstrated ability to manage time & priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- An intense passion and curiosity for customers, their needs and wants, putting them at the centre of everything you do whilst optimising customer journeys and experiences.
- Interest in or affinity for Technology change. Previous technical experience or understanding of large-scale technology projects or document services will be highly regarded.
