About the Role
As a Risk Identification and CDD BA Lead in our Financial Crime portfolio, you’ll play a key role in helping to coordinate and drive the delivery of a significant program of AML/CTF uplift in relation to AML/CTF Risk Assessments and Customer Due Diligence.
You will drive innovative, effective and compliant financial crime risk management and deliver Project Fortify, which has been established at an enterprise level to centrally coordinate delivery of change required by law reform and regulatory expectations governing Financial Crime & External Fraud risk. In collaboration with the Financial Crime Program and the business, Project Fortify will:
- “Pull the kite strings together” to minimise impact on the business, reduce risk in change and overhead by delivering a coordinated approach to law reform and heighted regulatory expectations.
- Build on the foundations delivered by Accord and learnings from I.AM Amplified and CPS 230, tailoring change only where necessary.
- Where possible, leverage Group and Divisional change initiatives, NFR transformation and drive sustainable embedment.
- Support delivery of strategic outcomes to optimise Financial Crime & External Fraud risk that are aligned with business objectives and the bank we’re building

What will your day look like?
As a Risk Identification and CDD BA Lead. you will:
- Work with Group and Divisional delivery and BAU teams, undertake gap analysis and requirements identification and documentation in relation to risk uplift and regulatory change
- Support Business impact assessment and work with stakeholders to support them to develop and document their action plans against assigned requirements
- Undertake the development of artefacts where appropriate and assigned (may include the development of guidance or process documentation, RFP documentation, statements of work, training materials or others as relevant)
- Track delivery, identify and resolve risks and issues and report on progress per project requirements
- Work with project leaders to establish the role and operating model for your streams/team
- Collaborate with Divisional stakeholders to manage interdependencies, as well as support them to ensure business readiness for changes. Drive stakeholder engagement across business units to foster shared clarity and ownership, particularly helping them to translate risk-specific language and obligations into actionable business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory obligations.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in Business Analysis including requirements documentation, impact analysis and action planning
- Ability to ensure relevant enterprise and program delivery standards are met, including the documentation of requirements and other delivery artefacts
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the program to manage plans, budgets, reporting and RAID.
- Strong background in Financial Sector Risk and Compliance projects, preferably project settings with the involvement of multiple streams, lines of business and interdependencies
- Navigate and create clarity across a complex, multi-divisional program of work with a mix of business and technology stakeholders
- Build relationships across the program structure and into Divisions to align, prioritise and manage technology delivery for the program
- Background in change management approaches for the delivery of complex change into the business
- Knowledge and experience of typical technology delivery approaches and lifecycles.
- Experience managing delivery of changes in a regulatory risk and compliance setting will be highly regarded
- Subject matter expertise relating to Financial Crime and External Fraud risk and AML/CTF Risk Assessment will be highly regarded
