About the Role
As the Risk & Compliance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in providing 1st line risk management support to the Digital Customer Engagement (DCE) and Enterprise Contact Centre (ECC) teams within the Customer Engagement Hub. Acting as the primary risk and assurance contact for the DCE and ECC leadership teams, you will serve as a trusted advisor—ensuring the business operates safely, meets its regulatory and compliance obligations, and delivers outcomes within risk appetite. A core component of this role is leading the change risk assessment activities for the ECC Program, which is transforming the Group’s Contact Centre into a cloud native, AI enabled operating model that delivers smart, seamless, and personalised customer experiences across all channels. You will also lead risk profile mapping, control execution and remediation activities across the DCE Domain, and collaborate closely with
Assurance Partners across the Group to ensure effective engagement and alignment on key risk matters.

What will your day look like?
As a Risk & Compliance Lead, you are accountable for:
- Leading end-to-end change risk assessments required for initiatives within the Domain.
- Preparing and providing risk reporting to key forums.
- Supporting our teams with monthly risk reporting, event and issue management, and annual compliance attestations.
- Managing prioritisation and allocation of tasks across the broader Portfolio Non‑Financial Risk team.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for engagement and escalation of non-financial risk matters.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to educate and support risk maturity.
- Driving continuous improvement of risk and control practices.
Your measures of success will focus on:
- High-quality, timely completion of change risk assessments for Domain initiatives and the ECC Program (clear risk ratings, well-articulated controls, and practical treatments aligned to risk appetite).
- Consistent, decision-useful risk reporting to key forums (accurate, concise insights; clear emerging risks and trends; actionable recommendations).
- Improved control health across the Domain (controls designed and operating effectively; evidence captured; issues identified early).
- Effective remediation outcomes (priority issues and incidents triaged promptly; remediation plans agreed, owned, and closed within committed timeframes; minimal overdue actions).
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Exposure to and thorough understanding of Identify Assess and Manage (I.AM) Framework
- Proven ability to work in a team and proactively contribute ideas to continuously improve team performance.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing useful and insightful risk reporting
- Demonstrated track record of working to deadlines and being efficient and organised in all operations.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in working in Digital Transformation businesses / programs, with a strong understanding of technical systems and enterprise platforms. For example, experience with cloud, contact centre or AI-enabled operations.
