About the Role
As the Retail Cost Performance Manager in the Retail and Commercial Cost COE team, you will draw on many competencies and form a well-rounded finance professional. This role is responsible for leading the delivery of end-to-end cost activity for the Retail Business Unit Portfolios. Leading and coaching a team of Cost Specialists, this role also includes elements of financial control, policy and governance, and stakeholder management. This includes providing accurate and timely financial information (actual analysis, planning and forecasting, performance reporting, divisional consolidation), day to day problem solving, and providing insightful analysis and advice covering BAU costs and investment slate/projects.
As a Divisionally aligned member of the Cost CoE you will be co-located with the Retail CFO and Business Partners, and the Australia Retail & Commercial Performance Management team, forming close relationships with your peers to deliver a seamless service proposition for your stakeholders.
While ensuring the financials are well managed, your responsibilities include driving continuous improvement of cost processes, supporting Enterprise Finance initiatives (such as the implementation of OneStream), and contributing to making the COE and Finance a great place to work.

What will your day look like?
As a Retail Cost Performance Manager, you will:
• Analyse business performance and key business drivers to identify and communicate issues requiring action and emerging trends, with a key focus productivity
• Lead operating rhythms across your team, providing portfolio performance management reporting & analysis to ensure that stakeholders (CFO, Head of Finance, Business Partners, business leaders) are held to account for cost management decisions
• Manage the monthly financial close process for assigned business unit costs, including finalisation of actuals, PcP & driver based analytical review, Group/Division/BU consolidation activities, management reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Leadership role across the Retail & Commercial Cost COE, with direct line manager responsibilities
What will you bring?

• Strong financial experience, having worked in accounting / finance for several years, ideally CA/CPA or equivalent qualification. Financial control, FP&A, and / or business partnering experience will be highly beneficial
• Strong verbal, visual and written communication skills to communicate with clarity on results, initiatives, and ideas to senior stakeholders
• Strong people and stakeholder management to support the effective delivery of a variety projects/initiatives and stakeholders with multiple requirements
• Strong people management and leadership skills, supporting broader team opportunities, and growing others
• Proficient in core tools including Excel/PowerPoint, Financial Systems (HFM, PSGL), Think Cell and willingness to learn and utilise new tools and techniques
