About the Role

At ANZ, we’re putting customers first and deliver simplicity, resilience and value. The Public Relations Advisor plays a key role in delivering this by driving proactive, insight-led external communications that protect and enhance ANZ’s reputation and support the Bank’s strategic priorities.

The role is responsible for identifying, shaping and delivering high-impact public relations activity aligned to the business strategy and integrated across external communications channels. This includes developing compelling media narratives, championing priority markets, and securing coverage that supports both strategic initiatives and business-as-usual activity.

Operating with strong news judgement and a disciplined risk lens, the Public Relations Advisor acts as a trusted adviser to leaders and stakeholders, managing PR activity end-to-end in a fast-paced and dynamic media environment.

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 / Anywhere in Australia (Hybrid)
Work Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)  

What will your day look like?

• Demonstrated experience delivering high-impact, end-to-end PR activity aligned to strategic priorities, from ideation through to execution and evaluation
• Strong news sense with the ability to identify story opportunities and navigate complex, fast-paced media environments
• Proven media relations capability, including developing compelling content and securing coverage across national, business and regional outlets
• Ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders, providing clear advice on media engagement and reputational considerations

• Sound judgement with a strong understanding of reputational risk, including the ability to identify, escalate and manage issues effectively
• Experience working across integrated channels (earned, owned and social), with a focus on content quality, performance and impact
• Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes to a high standard
