About the Role
The ARC Performance Management Associate role is responsible for delivering recurring and bespoke financial performance commentary and insights to help inform on the performance of the Australia Retail and Australia Commercial Divisions. The role interfaces with a multidisciplinary range of functions across the organisation including Group FPM, Statutory Reposting, and Divisional CFOs, along with Investor Relations, Group Treasury, and Group Risk. This opportunity supports the development of a strong network and business development contextualisation due to the breath & diversity of work that this role will be exposed to.

What will your day look like?
As a Performance Management Associate for Australia Finance the day-to-day will be diverse, ranging from working through operational delivery to analytical/commercial problem-solving, with engagement across a broad stakeholder set, and your accountabilities include:
- Month End Reporting including review, analysis, results commentary preparation, and Leadership team reporting, along with Outlook consolidation/load and analysis of movements
- Strategic and Operational Planning processes including consolidation, analytical review, presentations and loading omponents of external reporting including quarterly trading updates (as required), semi-annual and annual close process, focussing on externally published documents and support materials for the Australia Retail and Australia Commercial Group Executives
- Adhoc queries, peer comparisons, driver trends and analysis, presentations, and inputs into various processes in conjunction with the AR / AC Finance Teams, Business stakeholders, Group FPM, Investor Relations, etc.
- Working collaboratively across the Australia Retail and Australia Commercial Divisional Insights and Financial Control communities to co-ordinate and guide teams toward deliverables
- Participating in continuous process improvement programmes including our new Planning tool ‘Matapae’
- Adhoc Finance assignments focussing on ‘what matters most’ for the Group
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A growth mindset and positive attitude to learn and build rapport with stakeholders
- Strong verbal & written skills to communicate to senior stakeholders in a simple and succinct manner
- Proficient in Excel in structuring, analysing and manipulating data, along with model building
- Proficient in PowerPoint and ThinkCell
- Sound understanding of key banking and return metrics, balance sheet performance (capital and funding), revenue and cost drivers
- Working knowledge of key finance systems (PR, HFM)
- Experience interpreting and understanding regulatory requirements
