A critical component of our enterprise transformation is ‘Program PACT’ (People, Accountabilities, Customers and Trust), which has been established to deliver better customer, risk and business outcomes through sustainable improvements to ANZ’s non-financial risk management practices.  

Our Talent & Culture team is a critical enabler of Program PACT and is also responsible for key deliverables, focused on: transforming our organisational and risk culture; strengthening performance and remuneration frameworks; and building the capabilities our people need to manage risk well and deliver results at pace, in the right way.

 

As a Master Scheduler – Root Cause Remediation Plan within the PACT program, you will oversee the application of scheduling standards to develop and maintain a schedule(s) and ensure adherence, completeness, quality, logic, etc.

What will your day look like?


As a Master Scheduler in the Talent & Culture PACT workstreams, you will be responsible for: 

 

  • Assigning scheduling standards and ensure adherence, schedule depth, completeness (scope), logic, alignment with objectives / outcomes key results
  • Developing initiative work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Compiling and maintain the program / project master schedule
  • Providing efficient scheduling, advice and support to Delivery Leads, achieve delivery objectives
  • Ensuring that schedules are planned, baselined and progress is actively and reliably tracked and reported to the agreed program / project cadence
  • Analysing and report key milestones and deliverables and ensuring alignment of schedule updates to program / project status reports.
  • Understanding dependencies (internal as well as external), Ensure critical path and interdependency activities are identified, tracked and reported
  • Proactively Identify trends or potential slippages and reported to relevant parties (e.g. Project Manager, Stream Leads, etc)
  • Proactively Identify gaps and opportunities to improve the schedule and providing reliable time forecasts on key deliverables
  • Building analytic capability to advise program / project leadership, well in advance of any forthcoming conflicts/issues that may increase the risk of non-delivery
  • Assisting in training delivery teams in the use of MS Project to enhance initiative reporting process

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Tertiary Qualification, business/IT or similar
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience as a Program/Project Master Scheduler.
  • Knowledge of and accreditation in a project management disciplines such as PMBOK
  • Advanced knowledge of planning software (e.g. MS Project)
  • High level of proficiency in developing and maintaining a detailed WBS and Schedule.
  • Proven experience, with an in-depth understanding, of the delivery life cycle and strategic development of delivery plans, objectives and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint applications
  • Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Clarifying stakeholder needs and managing expectations to ensure the delivery of effective service
  • Identifying and obtaining support or advice required for the planning, coordination and execution of work and reporting through agreed reporting lines on progress.
  • Contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within own function and with internal clients and ensuring procedures and documentation are maintained.
