About the Role

 

As the Major Project and International Operations Manager, your purpose is to understand, translate and effectively deliver the major construction projects inline with the Business and Property strategic objectives in an aligned, collaborative and holistic manner.  In addition, ensure the International operations are delivered in a manner that is aligned with the Wellbeing & safety requirements, portfolio is maintained in line with local regulatory requirements and a well run portfolio.

 

You understand the importance of the use and adoption of technology and data and utilise expertise around you to cohesively deliver the requirements of the strategy.  Experience in leveraging partnerships & specialist expertise to cohesively deliver the requirements of the GP strategy &/or key initiatives. Pragmatic complex flexible and creative project management acumen, property experience in the management of assets, facilities management & leadership of multidisciplinary teams within Australia and Internationally is key to the success of this role.

 

A good level of understanding, application and monitoring of the non- Financial Risk Requirements as defined by Group where is applies to Facilities Management and Project Management.  In line with applying the requirements of non-financial risk, develop key guidelines in consultation with other SME to ensure the Global portfolio is well managed and compliant You have the ability to energize, influence and manage a global team to deliver great outcomes.

 

You enjoy working as a team, you naturally see the importance of building & effectively managing stakeholder relationships in order to deliver the required outcomes to achieve business goals.

What will your day look like?


As a Major Project and International Operations Manager, you are accountable for:

 

Financial

  • Lead global opex/capex planning and delivery aligned to strategy
  • Manage portfolio performance, cost optimisation, procurement, and capital outcomes
  • Deliver major capital works on time, budget, and quality

Customer

  • Apply business insight to deliver effective FM and PM outcomes
  • Lead clear stakeholder engagement and customer communication

Process

  • Set and embed sound contracting, governance, and property processes
  • Drive value, risk management, and best‑practice delivery into BAU

People & Culture

  • Role‑model ICARE values and a speak‑up culture
  • Build a high‑performing, diverse team through coaching and development

Risk & Reputation

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, group, and safety standards
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate non‑financial risks
