About the Role
Lead end-to-end regulatory and payments initiatives, aligning strategy, budget and delivery timelines. Manage senior stakeholders across the Group, mitigate risks, mentor team members and uplift delivery practices. Drive structured, incremental delivery across people, process and technology to deliver compliant, scalable payment solutions, applying strong governance and project management disciplines to achieve meaningful outcomes for the bank and customers.

What will your day look like?
Lead complex, multidisciplinary initiatives, ensuring delivery meets strategic objectives, quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder management: Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders; manage expectations, communicate progress, and resolve issues promptly.
- Resource and budget management: Define resource requirements (people and financial), manage budgets and optimise allocation across interdependent workstreams.
- Risk and issue management: Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies; maintain mitigations and contingencies to protect outcomes and timelines.
- Mentorship and leadership: Coach project staff and provide PMO-style support and guidance to junior project managers.
- Delivery governance and continuous improvement: Improve delivery frameworks, artefacts and ways of working; uplift reporting, controls and assurance.
What will you bring?
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven delivery experience in payments/regulatory initiatives.
- Project delivery knowledge or certification (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile).
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience with delivery tools and modern practices.
- Leadership across ambiguity and complex environments.
Key relationships
- Group Payments: Service Line Owners, Tribe Leads, Product Owners, Chapter Leads, Architecture, Risk & Compliance, and Portfolio Leads.
- Across ANZ: Technology, Operations, industry partners, Data, Cyber and Fraud, Finance, and Legal.

- Clear objectives and OKRs with strong governance.
- Delivery to plan with controlled scope and clear reporting.
- Compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Measurable customer and operational value.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and satisfaction.
