About Us
At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
About the Role
As a Delivery Assurance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Delivery Governance Lead to uphold strong assurance across the Digital Backbone (DBB) portfolio within Institutional Banking. You will be the go‑to expert for non‑financial risk (NFR), information security, and delivery compliance, helping ensure our initiatives meet the highest governance and regulatory standards.
In this role, you’ll provide critical oversight across project delivery, perform risk assessments and manage key delivery compliance activities (DCN). Your work will directly enable the successful and timely delivery of strategic programs while strengthening our risk controls and safeguarding compliance across a global environment.
Role Location: Docklands, Melbourne VIC
Role Type: Permanent Full Time
What will your day look like?
As the Delivery Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Oversee delivery assurance across DBB projects, ensuring alignment with governance, risk, information security, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor project progress and recommend actions for any risks, issues, or compliance deviations.
- Partner with Project Managers, Risk, Compliance, QA and Audit teams to proactively manage non‑financial risks and support key reviews.
- Prepare and contribute to governance meetings and steering committees through high‑quality reporting and insights.
- Review project documentation for quality and completeness, supporting teams to maintain accurate governance artefacts.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across delivery teams, business owners, and enablement functions.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in delivery assurance or change risk management within financial services, particularly across data, digital and automation initiatives.
- Strong capability in risk management, information security and compliance, with the ability to apply these effectively in project delivery environments.
- Proven analytical skills, including the ability to interpret project data, identify trends and proactively manage risks and issues.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted working relationships.
- A strong commitment to governance excellence, with a track record of maintaining high standards in controls, compliance and project quality.
- Experience working with delivery and governance frameworks (e.g., ANZ Delivery Framework, IAM) and familiarity with NFR, technology risk, third‑party risk and information security concepts.
- Relevant qualifications in project management, risk, or a related discipline, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and staying across emerging governance best practices.
You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
