About the Role
At ANZ we’re transforming banking by empowering our people to grow, innovate and lead, as a Capability Expert in our financial Wellbeing Assist (FWA) team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the learning culture that supports our frontline teams and improves the financial wellbeing of our customers.
As one of our Capability Experts, you will be seen as an expert in the capability, learning and development process, along with policy and system governance.
You’ll partner with business stakeholders, the internal capability community, and Talent & Culture to advance FWA learning governance practices and support the maintenance and sustainment of quality core curriculum embedded with compliance and regulatory understanding.
The Capability Expert also plays a key role in coordinating the capability framework for FWA, driving efficient and effective training delivery to uplift the FWA’s workforce.

What will your day look like?
As a Capability Expert, you are accountable for:
- Consultatively creating and delivering learning programs that help FWA staff understand and meet important standards, while building a strong culture around doing the right thing.
- Collaborating with other Capability Experts to keep key training programs up to date, compliant and running smoothly.
- Creating and sharing learning reports that give clear insights and help leaders improve, stay accountable and make sound judgements.
- Streamlining learning processes to make them more useful, effective, and learner focused.
What will you bring?
Making sure FWA teams follow the CSO training and capability standards and help them stay on track. To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong at staying organised in a fast-paced changing environment, managing multiple projects, tracking learning progress, and finding ways to keep improving.
- An ability to identify learning needs, consultatively design people-focused solutions, and ensure learning is meaningful, useful and sticks.
- Great at building strong working relationships and calibrating well, while meeting deadlines with other team members to get the optimal results for our internal and external customers.
- Support others’ growth through proven coaching techniques, clear goal setting, and meaningful dialogue.
- A confident communicator with exceptional facilitation skills, seamlessly transitioning between training, storytelling, and both outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable stepping in to support other team members and stakeholders when required at a moment’s notice bringing a team first mindset.
- Using data from different internal sources to help make smart, informed decisions and set the right priorities.
