About the Role

 

The Business Partner's role is to understand and translate the business strategy and key requirements into property solutions and to ensure that the solution is delivered to the satisfaction of the business without diminishing customer or employee experience.  The Business Partner can guide the BU to consider new ideas or demonstrate, with the use of data, improvements/efficiencies to assist the Bank in both use of space and workplace experience.  

 

The Property Business Partner acts as the strategic interface between the Property function and respective Business Units (BUs), ensuring that property services align with operational needs, strategic objectives, and workplace experience expectations. This role plays a critical part in shaping property solutions, managing space and investment planning, and delivering outcomes that balance performance, cost, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Develop and manage relationships with Business Units (BUs) to ensure property service delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Plan proactively to understand BU needs and develop strategic property solutions, including asset and network planning, aligned with current and future business requirements and property principles.
  • Act as the first point of contact for managing issues or complaints escalated by end-users (customers or staff).
  • Collaborate with the property function to define and oversee delivery of property solutions that provide value in terms of time, cost, and quality.
  • Work with alliance partners to ensure approved strategies are implemented within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate accommodation data in property databases and financial systems through proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare regular portfolio reports within specified timeframes, detailing accommodation status, performance, and recommendations for current and future issues.
  • Manage and monitor project plans supporting investment activities, including those developed by third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure capital works align with business requirements, property design guidelines, and accommodation KPIs.
  • Work closely with Business Units, Property teams, Workplace Partners, and Technology to meet accommodation expectations.
  • Ensure full compliance with group property guidelines, statutory codes, and policies; take corrective action where deviations occur.

  • Planning and prioritising what needs to be done (including people, process and technology implications) in order to deliver upon user needs and strategic priorities. This includes identifying, planning for, tracking and resolving dependencies.

  • Curiosity and interest in industry best practice and how that might be applied in the workplace.
  • Executing tasks and contracts to source and procure products and/or services from vendors and other suppliers. This includes policy and internal standards as well as monitoring the performance and financial impacts of the contract or service.
  • Understanding of the complexity of how a similar corporation of statue operates and processes within
  • Experience working in large, complex environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with commercial workplaces, and capital project delivery (desirable)
