About the Role
As an Associate Director Business Governance Tech, Info Sec, Data you will provide Tech, Cyber and Data risk management expertise globally for the Division. You will be responsible for working with Enterprise Risk Theme Officers, Business Unit/Country Risk Owners and Business Governance colleagues to determine priority areas of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) uplift across these three critical risk themes; develop and oversight execution of uplift to improve control environments and ensure Divisional compliance with regulatory requirements. The role works across multiple Business Units, Countries, stakeholders and major programs and contributes to embedding uplifted Non-Financial Risk (NFR) practices and behaviours across the Division.
The role suits risk/audit professionals with extensive experience in fast paced, challenging environments and have come from business / technology roles, big 4 or consulting and understand how technology plays into operational risks. The ideal candidate would utilise their business and technology background to translate technology related causes, controls and indicators into business language for inclusion into risks owned by business risk owners.

What will your day look like?
As an Associate Director Business Governance Tech, Info Sec, Data, you are accountable for:
- Focusing on Technology, Information Security and Data risk themes, lead and drive NFR consistency, alignment and continuous improvement supported by insights and actions to enable well-informed, risk-based decisions.
- Partner with business facing BG&C teams, risk and control owners across geographies to become a trusted advisor and maturity uplift lead.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (such as Group Risk, Group Technology, Australia Retail and Business & Private Bank) across all 3 lines of defence to obtain buy-in to implement consistent uplift
- Proactively identify Division wide “hot spots” / areas of concern, completing regular deep dive assessments and developing practical recommendations for inclusion into various governance and oversight bodies.
- Lead and facilitate regular, Division wide Community of Practice sessions focused on promoting knowledge sharing, tips and tricks, increasing consistency and continuous improvement.
- Drive outcomes across the Division which will ultimately safeguard our customers and ANZ.
- Leading multiple streams of work to deliver Institutional NFR priorities
What will you bring?
- Strong understanding of Non-Financial Risk management in an Institutional context
- Strong understanding and experience with technology related controls (specifically business rules / application computer controls and general computer controls), including control testing
- Intermediate to advanced data analysis skills and experience, including sourcing data from disparate sources, producing clear analysis and conclusions / recommendations and practical rationales
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
- Confident communicator with exceptional negotiation and influencing skills. Has a track record in acknowledging and leading resolution of conflict.
- Excellent Business and Executive report writing skills, and attention to detail
- Project management and delivery management experience in large, complex, dynamic environments
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and change
- Banking and Finance industry knowledge
- Internal / external audit, BG&C / assurance experience
- Business process management/ process improvement
- Commitment to simplification and driving change
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work
