About the Role

 

As the Customer Due Diligence Execution Lead in our Business & Private Bank division, you will be accountable to lead the Customer Due Diligence Execution team by supporting day-to-day execution of the Division’s financial crime requirements along with uplifting financial crime management and capabilities for the Division. 

 

You will primarily focus on Financial Crime including Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC), and Internal and External Fraud. You and the team will be the AML/Sanctions SME to various Enterprise programs, Business Units and Operations in addition to supporting day-to-day execution of the customer and banker KYC journey, compliance with the Banks AML Policies and procedures, Committee reporting, input/lead threat assessment and/or thematic reviews and regulatory/industry responses ensuring alignment with risk, regulatory, and customer priorities. 

 

In the evolving Financial Crime and KYC landscape, your role will play a key part in defining the future state financial crime approach and ongoing management across the Division. 


Your role requires deep expertise in the AML/CTF legislative and regulatory environment, and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end financial crime management processes. You will play a critical role in strengthening divisional capability and consistency in managing financial crime risks.

What will your day look like?

 

As the Customer Due Diligence Execution Lead, you will be accountable for:

  • Customer Due Diligence/KYC: Oversee day-to-day execution of B&PB’s KYC lifecycle ensuring process integrity and alignment with Business needs
  • SME to Enterprise AML programs, ensuring alignment with program objectives and operational capabilities. Assist in developing a customer-centric approach to ensure policy requirements are met without impeding customer experience
  • Proactively engaging stakeholders, to consult on optimal policy design and deliver fair outcomes for customers and community
  • Partnering with other specialist compliance subject matter experts (e.g. Risk, Legal, etc.) to provide input to threat assessments/industry response/submissions etc to ensure the impact on customers and bankers are considered

  • Deep expertise in Financial Crime and KYC with strong knowledge of and experience in the regulatory landscape (AML, CTF, etc.)

  • Experience in advising senior leaders and risk committees on operational and regulatory issues
