Mō te tūranga - About the role
The Commercial and Corporate Sales team is responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of customers across ANZ, supporting them with foreign exchange and interest rate solutions including derivatives; executed within agreed risk, credit, legal, and operational parameters.
As a Senior Dealer within ANZ Markets Commercial and Corporate Sales team, you’ll sit at the intersection of customer engagement, markets expertise, and disciplined execution. This role suits a technically strong Markets professional who thrives in a fast paced, regulated environment and enjoys delivering outcomes through expertise and sound judgement.
Working alongside Relationship Managers, you’ll act as a specialist product partner, supporting a portfolio of Commercial and Corporate customers across ANZ. You’ll engage directly with customers to manage foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate exposures, delivering high quality execution and solutions, including derivatives, within approved risk, credit, legal, and operational frameworks.
You’ll bring strong market insight and execution capability, combining deep technical knowledge with an understanding of customer needs and treasury priorities. You’ll support customers in articulating their requirements, align solutions to their risk management objectives, and contribute to consistent, client focused outcomes while maintaining strong commercial discipline and adherence to ANZ’s risk culture and conduct standards.

As a Senior Dealer, Markets Sales, you will be accountable for:
- Delivering timely and accurate FX and Rates product execution for Commercial and Corporate customers, aligned to agreed processes and controls.
- Partnering with Relationship Managers and clients to provide fit for purpose hedging solutions, ensuring alignment to customer needs, product suitability and risk profiles.
- Applying sound risk judgement across pricing, structuring and execution, operating within credit limits, delegated authorities and policy settings.
- Maintaining strong risk discipline and conduct, adhering to internal policies, regulatory requirements and Markets standards.
- Building and maintaining trusted customer relationships, supporting ongoing engagement, education and activity.
- Monitoring market conditions and customer exposures, identifying emerging risks or issues and escalating where appropriate.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment, supporting deal execution, sharing insights and assisting with client outcomes.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Hold the relevant accreditation or gain the necessary accreditation within the first few weeks of employment(NZFMA Core and FX/IR accreditation, ELAC and NFA).
- Strong experience within a financial markets or markets facing role (banking or financial institution), with exposure to sales, execution or dealing activities
- Sound knowledge of FX, interest rate products and derivatives products, with ability to apply this in customer conversations.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with ability to explain market concepts clearly and build trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Confidence using electronic trading platforms, pricing tools and market data systems.
- Solid numerical and analytical capability, including Excel, to support pricing and scenario analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness, with ability to operate within credit, legal and policy frameworks.
- Collaborative and proactive team contributor with a customer focused mindset.
