As a Private Banker- Investments, you will manage a portfolio of high-value clients, providing personalised financial advice and building strong, long-term relationships. You’ll be responsible for delivering a seamless client experience by developing strategic investment plans, understanding individual client goals, and connecting them with solutions that align with their broader financial needs.

This role is key in driving both client satisfaction and business growth, while ensuring all services are delivered within ANZ’s compliance and risk frameworks.

As a Private Banker - Investments, you will:

 

  • Develop and implement strategic client plans centred around each client’s preferences, goals, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Actively manage a set of clients by gaining a deep understanding of their financial position, needs, and risk profile.
  • Deliver tailored advice and recommend appropriate strategies to support retention, satisfaction, and long-term value.
  • Keep up-to-date with ANZ’s full suite of banking, investment, and lending products as well as offerings from approved external providers.
  • Stay current with internal processes, policy changes, and legislative updates, ensuring adherence to KnowHow and compliance requirements.
  • Remain informed on the economic and financial market landscape, market movements, and competitor activity to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure all accreditations (including Financial Adviser) are current and applied in line with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Conduct annual client reviews to ensure all advice remains aligned with evolving client needs.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across business units and external networks to deliver value-adding solutions.
  • Mentor and guide Associates, supporting their development in advice and client service delivery.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively build new client relationships aligned with the Private Bank’s strategic growth goals.
  • Build and maintain a credible professional profile within the community.
  • Manage and regularly update your own Personal Development Plan.
  • Promote and support clients in using Private Client Services and self-service banking options.
  • Actively model and embed ANZ’s values and purpose in everything you do.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

 

  • Strong professional reputation and presence within your local or industry community.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a financial discipline.
  • An inquisitive mindset with a genuine interest in financial markets, investment products, and client outcomes.
  • Financial Adviser accreditation (e.g. National Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 or another relevant qualification as per industry standards).
