About the Role

Consumer Distribution teams are a key connection point for our customers across the Group. We create value for our customers and employees by having needs based Conversations that meet their needs directly or alternatively through referral to the specialist channels that exist within our Business.

 

This role will lead a Branch team and 1-2 Branch based Lender/s toprovide value and service excellence to our  customers, strong employee performance and engagement and implementation of systems that will help to drive the region’s revenue and growth in the given Metro or Regional area.

 

The Senior Manager will play a role in coaching and developing their people to understand and meet our customer needs, building motivated and engaged teams, and instilling a high-performance edge and customer centric culture. 

 

Key Outcomes:

  • Delivery of key focus areas across Customer, Risk, People & Performance measures as defined in Role Scorecard metrics that drives Business outcomes, Individual & Team performance.
  • Support & Lead the embedding of Blended Distribution & Future Workforce planning models within your Branch
  • Drive high performance within your Direct Report Frontline employees & Lenders through effective coaching and Leadership
  • Drive Branch event management activities in line with annual Business Plan

What will your day look like?


As a Senior Branch Manager, you will be accountable for:

 

  • Deliver effective customer management, retention and satisfaction advocacy within your business
  • Manage FTE & Workforce Planning requirements within Branch. This includes:
    • FTE Rostering of Branch employees to meet customer demand (Branch & Blended),
    • Leave Management (Planned & Unplanned leave)
  • Role model and support a risk management culture through behaviours, discussions and interactions with employees and customers, and operate responsibly within the parameters of your approved delegations.
  • Responsible for managing the financial drivers of the Branch
  • Achieve customer acquisition, service and retention for product lines and customer segments within your Branch.
  • Manage Branch Recruitment & Training needs in conjunction with Regional Operations Manager. Ensure all direct reports are fully trained and compliant within all aspects of their roles.
  • Ensure sound risk management principles and systems are in place, including proactive identification, management and escalation of risks and issues, implementing actions and improvements. 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven leadership experience in Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services
  • Demonstrated experience in roles requiring growth and retention of a customer base.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating a highly motivated and focused team.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Front Line Compliance Risks
  • Completion of Home Lending at Suncorp course (desired),
  • Either some experience as a Home Lender strong years of experience in managing Lenders as Direct Reports (desired)
