About the Role

As a Reporting Analyst in our Home Lending team, you’ll play a key role in helping to enhance the customer experience by delivering industry-leading, innovative reporting solutions that meet both current and future needs. You will achieve this by collaborating with business partners to support Suncorp Bank's customer demands. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality reporting, applications and insights that empower stakeholders across the Home Lending Services network to maximise team performance.

 

Additionally, the Reporting Analyst serves as a key liaison with Leadership Teams, offering expert guidance on data modelling and best practices to ensure reporting is effectively leveraged to drive business objectives.

What will your day look like?

As a Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Manage initiatives to enhance both employee and customer experiences by developing applications, creating reports, and implementing technology solutions for leadership teams.
  • Engage and manage key stakeholders to drive successful initiative execution and adoption.
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing PowerApps and Power BI functions to support business needs.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting across daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Foster a strong risk culture by ensuring data protection, business continuity, and the implementation of effective controls.
  • Support project and continuous improvement teams by tracking key metrics and measuring benefits.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality reports, applications, and interactive reporting dashboards.
  • Analyse data insights to identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with First and Second Line of Defence (1LOD & 2LOD) risk advisors to ensure alignment with risk management initiatives.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience working with data software
  • Previous business improvement and change management experience
  • Experience using PowerApps and PowerBI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to work with business reporting systems and data to develop meaningful reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent business planning and process management capabilities to drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills to meet quality and deadline expectations.
  • Ability to navigate and manage change across complex business environments and multiple stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of business reporting, data governance, and system functionalities to optimise reporting tools.
  • Experience in developing and implementing realistic and scalable plans for complex system and process improvements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrable SME experience with operational and partner processes and associated systems (e.g. CBP, Hogan, Sunlink, Allfi, AOL etc) will be highly regarded
