About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Business Banking team for a motivated and customer focused Merchant Service Consultant. As you will be working with Merchant services, delivering excellent customer experience to our existing Merchant customers is key. You will have a passion for providing superior levels of customer service and have a strong desire to be part of a successful, supportive, and fun team.
This role sits within a friendly contact centre environment where we offer flexible arrangements, to work from home & the contact centre in the Brisbane CBD.

What will your day look like?
- Respond to incoming calls from Business Banking customers regarding their Merchant Facility– you will never be bored – each business is different, therefore each call is different
- Work to deliver exceptional customer experiences and ensure customer retention is maintained
- Complete follow-up tasks that require Outbound calls to our Merchant Business Banking customers
- Work within a quality driven and compliant environment
- Manage complaints within required timeframes, policy and procedures.
- Collaborate across channels to meet customer needs
- Contribute to a team culture that is balanced across people, customer, risk and performance
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures and external requirements, including legislative requirements
What will you bring?
- Previous Banking customer service/sales experience
- Experience within a contact centre environment or an operational/support role would be desirable
- High level computer literacy and navigation skills
- Experience in delivering high quality customer experience within required timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to use customer and commercial acumen to enhance overall performance across people, customer and risk measures.
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Self-motivated and enjoy contributing to a team environment
- Ability to work within a compliance environment
