About the Role

As a Governance and Reporting Analyst in our Bank Governance team, you’ll play a key role in helping to generate reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide key data and insights to ensure compliance with internal policies, frameworks and standards and help management identify, monitor, and manage risks across Suncorp Bank. Additionally, the Governance & Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining appropriate governance and organisation of key Suncorp Bank Committees to help guide and influence effective decision making for Suncorp Bank by senior leadership.

This role supports Suncorp Bank and cross function working groups to ensure effective consultation for the design and delivery of reporting solutions and management of Suncorp Bank Committees, ensuring alignment with FAR accountabilities.

What will your day look like?

As a Governance and Reporting Analyst, you will:

• Generate insightful, actionable, appropriate, and clear reports, dashboards, and metrics to support strategic decision-making.
• Drive change and an increased awareness of risk management across Suncorp Bank.
• Organise meetings, prepare documentation, maintain records, and ensure committees are operating in accordance with its terms of reference/ charter.
• Develop sound governance processes to ensure appropriate risk assurance exists.
• Ensure deliverables align with and support the governance of Suncorp Bank’s risk management policies, frameworks, and standards, whilst ensuring solutions support the Suncorp Bank’s compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk culture and awareness within Suncorp Bank.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Proficient technical skills in Microsoft suite, SharePoint and dashboard management.
• Advanced data visualization skills with ability to analyse and convey complicated data sets in easy-to-understand graphs, flow charts and/or images to drive insights.
• High attention to detail and organisational planning skills with focus on quality, accuracy and timeliness.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
• Highly analytical skills with strong capability to use information to identify key issues, compare data, understand trends and draw insights.
• Strong communication capability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently.
• Strategic planning and critical thinking capability to facilitate the development of innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Experience in risk, governance, strategy, or finance related roles will be highly regarded
• Risk Management experience, including but not limited to delivering core Frameworks and Standards will be highly regarded
