About the Role
The purpose of this role is to manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of Specialist Industries customers, and drive portfolio growth through customer acquisition, cross- selling and referrals whilst maintaining appropriate risk and compliance management practices.
Property & Health is a targeted growth area of ANZ’s commercial strategy, backed by a supportive, results-driven leadership team and investment in new systems and technologies. Role Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
What will your day look like?
As the Development Relationship Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Acting in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer‐centric approach
- Proactively developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs
- Providing customers with appropriate solutions
- Collaborating with Product Partners and other internal stakeholders to design, structure and execute deals
- Building and maintaining strong external networks with a strong focus on COI and origination
- Structuring and documenting transactions in conjunction with relevant product and specialist teams
- Managing appropriate risk and compliance controls across a portfolio of customers
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong industry expertise, including current knowledge of market trends, competitive forces and customer success indicators, with applied experience across the Property and/or Health segments.
- Skilled in relationship management, effectively building, maintaining and influencing stakeholder partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Proven capability in business development, identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities, alliances and growth pathways that deliver commercial value.
- Competent in portfolio management, balancing business‑as‑usual and strategic initiatives while optimising prioritisation, workload and return on investment.
- Customer‑centric approach to solutioning, able to understand client needs and recommend tailored products, services or options that align with those needs.
- Solid credit analysis proficiency, assessing customer creditworthiness using qualitative and quantitative evaluation frameworks such as the 5Cs of credit.
