About the Role
Looking to start or grow your banking career in a role that fits around your life — not the other way around? We’re looking for Full-Time Banking Consultants to join our Suncorp Bank Contact Centre team, supporting customers during evenings and weekends (up to 9:30PM).
This opportunity suits people who prefer non-traditional hours, including those balancing study, family commitments, or seeking consistent evening and weekend work as part of a full-time role.
You’ll be supported from day one with structured training and ongoing coaching, building strong foundations in everyday banking while helping customers with account enquiries, service requests, and general banking support. Every interaction is an opportunity to make banking easier, clearer, and more human.
Once training is complete, you’ll enjoy a hybrid way of working, combining time in the office with the flexibility to work from home.
Role Location: Heritage Lanes, 80 Ann Street, Brisbane QLD 4000
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time role
Focus: Weekend availability and evening shifts (up to 9:30PM)
Training Requirement
To set you up for success, full attendance during training is essential. Training is completed during standard business hours before transitioning into your rostered shifts.
Training period: 08 June – 24 July
Training hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Roster Options – Full Time
Shifts operate within defined start windows. Your rostered shift will commence within the window below and run for approximately 8 hours.
Start Windows
Tuesday to Saturday: 11:00am – 1:30pm start window (8 hours)
Sunday to Thursday: 11:00am – 1:30pm start window (8 hours)
Evening Coverage Requirement
Availability is required for shifts finishing as late as 9:30PM, scheduled in line with operational needs
What will your day look like?
As a Banking Consultant, you’ll play a key role in creating positive customer experiences by:
- Delivering personalised, professional service across inbound calls
- Assisting customers with Everyday Banking products, services, and account enquiries
- Resolving customer requests efficiently while looking for ways to improve outcomes
- Building trust through empathy, active listening, and clear communication
- Working collaboratively within a team that values customer outcomes, risk awareness, and performance
- Supporting Suncorp Bank’s purpose of building futures and protecting what matters
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- You don’t need to know everything — curiosity, confidence, and a willingness to learn are just as important
- A genuine passion for helping customers and providing great service
- Experience in customer service or a contact centre (preferred, not essential)
- Confidence juggling multiple systems and learning new technology
- Resilience and adaptability when supporting a diverse range of customer needs
- A team-first mindset and a positive, can-do approach
- Availability to work weekends and evening shifts (up to 9:30PM)
