About the Role

Looking to build a career in banking while working hours that suit your lifestyle? We’re seeking Part-Time Banking Consultants to join our Suncorp Bank Contact Centre team, supporting customers during weekend and evening hours (up to 10 PM).

This role is ideal for people who prefer non-traditional hours, including those balancing study, family commitments, or looking for additional income through evening and weekend work.

As a Banking Consultant, you’ll receive structured training and ongoing support while helping customers with everyday banking needs, account enquiries, and service requests. You’ll develop strong foundational banking skills while delivering friendly, professional service and creating positive customer experiences.

Once training is complete, you’ll work in a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration with work-from-home flexibility.

Role Location: Heritage Lanes, 80 Ann Street, Brisbane QLD 4000

Role Type: Multiple vacancies, all permanent, part-time roles (more details below)

Work hours: Weekend + Evening shifts (up to 10 PM)

Training Requirement

Initial training will be delivered during standard business hours and full attendance is required

Training Period: 6 weeks

Training Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

This ensures you are set up for success before transitioning into your part-time roster pattern.

Roster Options (Part-Time – 30 hours per week)

Shift patterns operate within set start windows, meaning your rostered shift will commence within the window below and run for approximately 5 hours - 7.5 hours

Shift Options

Option 1) 5 hours shifts - Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Fri: 7AM - 10AM start time

Option 2) 5 hours shifts - Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Fri: 3PM - 5PM start time

Option 3) 5 hours shifts - Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon: 11AM - 1:30PM start time

Evening Coverage Requirement

• Availability required for shifts finishing as late as 10 PM (scheduled within operational needs)

What will your day look like?

As a Banking Consultant, your accountabilities include:

• Deliver personalised, positive customer experiences across inbound calls
• Support customers with Everyday Banking products, services and account enquiries
• Resolve customer requests efficiently while identifying opportunities to improve outcomes
• Build trust through empathy, active listening and clear communication
• Work collaboratively in a team focused on customer outcomes, risk awareness and performance
• Support Suncorp Bank’s purpose of building futures and protecting what matters

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• A passion for helping customers and delivering great service
• Experience in a customer service or contact centre environment (preferred but not essential)
• Confidence using multiple systems and learning new technology
• Resilience and adaptability when supporting a range of customer needs
• A team-first mindset and willingness to contribute to a positive culture
• Availability to work weekends and evening shifts (up to 10 PM)
