About the Role

We are looking for flexible developers who are interested in all aspects and areas of coding. A unique opportunity to provide value to our customers through goMoney native mobile iOS. As part of the engineering capability area, we have a focus of turning one of New Zealand’s largest technology stacks into a simple and seamless banking experience.

What will your day look like?

  • Build and contribute to the design of ANZ’s Mobile banking platform (goMoney).

  • Enable the Bank to maintain, develop and enhance functionality of banking systems to meet business needs.

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to other development staff.

  • Working in cross functional teams with the opportunity to flex your development skills in different areas alongside mobile.

  • You will be passionate about driving change and improvements in development, testing and the continuous delivery spaces, delivering quality software faster and more reliably.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • A strong interest and passion for mobile development
  • Native iOS development experience, Swift, Objective C (4+ years)
  • Strong awareness of the banking and finance industry, trends and threats (technology, products, regulatory environment
  • Proven experience as an iOS developer working within Agile teams. Expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of development processes, tools, strategies and methodologies
  • Ability to step up and provide technical leadership and guidance where required
  • Be able to balance the often competing priorities of quality, time and scope with a well-considered approach
  • Experience in mentoring and sharing knowledge with your peers

Essential skills and experience

  • Attitude is everything: a positive, can-do attitude who’s willing to be open and pragmatic in getting the job done

  • A genuine interest and passion for mobile development

  • Sound native iOS mobile experience, Swift, Objective C (4+ years)

  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership where required

  • Possess the ability to operate at all levels communicating and collaborating well to solve problems and influence change

  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills

  • Deep understanding of Fastlane

  • Experience writing highly tested code within a shared code base and applying best practice principles and techniques agreed on by the wider team

  • Experience working in Scrum and associated agile techniques

  • Experience with using GIT for software version control

  • CI/CD pipeline creation, maintenance and enhancements

  • Experience working with CI/CD software development pipelines

  • Automated UI test development experience

  • Knowledge of MVVM patterns as well as SwiftUI experience

  • Multi-threaded development and debugging experience
