About the Role
In the role of Trade Processing Senior Officer, you will be primarily responsible for the issuance and processing of Bank Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), ensuring that all regulatory requirements and bank policies are adhered to. You will manage transactions with a high degree of accuracy, maintain compliance standards, and deliver exceptional customer service within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure efficient processing, risk management, and timely resolution of queries. The role requires strong attention to detail, operational excellence, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes while supporting the bank’s trade finance operations.

What will your day look like?
As a Trade Processing Senior Officer, you will:
- Process and issue Bank Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and operational procedures.
- Review customer requests and transaction documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to service standards, ensuring timely processing within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries, provide high-quality customer service, and maintain strong working relationships across teams.
- Monitor operational performance through SLA tracking, quality checks, risk reviews, and process controls to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities, reducing operational costs, and contributing to business and customer outcomes.
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members, promote a collaborative team culture, and uphold ANZ's values, risk management standards, and compliance requirements in all activities.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 4+ years of experience in Trade Operations or Trade Finance, with hands-on expertise in Bank Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), cross-border transactions, and KYC processes.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management practices, with a focus on delivering accurate and high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and consistently meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using digital banking platforms, operational systems, and automation tools to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.
- A collaborative and customer-focused mindset, with strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and a commitment to ANZ's values, risk culture, and continuous improvement.
