About the Role

As a Ops Team Lead in Trade Guarentee, you’ll play a key role in leading the team in servicing ANZ's Australian Corporate & Institutional Banking customers. This role is responsible for managing the daily operation of the Pre processing team within TSCO Guarantees team by ensuring timely, accurate processing and tracking of customer requests. Emphasis is placed on developing a motivated team environment and implementing process improvements to improve customer service and team efficiency.

What will your day look like?

As a Ops Team Lead your responsibilities will include :

• Ensuring adherence to all risk and compliance procedures and controls, proactively mitigating risks to improve audit outcomes.
• Meeting or exceeding the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all operational deliverables.
• Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational performance.
• Proactively identifying process gaps and implementing internal controls to mitigate operational risks.
• Regularly reviewing processing effectiveness and implementing enhancements to improve workflows and outcomes.
• Ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of key outputs including SLAs, capacity planning, coordination, and reporting requirements.
• Resolving or escalating complex issues to Managers or Business Heads in a timely manner and ensuring proper closure.
• Keeping the team informed about policy, procedural, operational, and training updates to ensure compliance and awareness.
• Demonstrating a clear understanding of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and supporting readiness within the team.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

• Good knowledge of trade cycle and excellent knowledge of two or more products
• 8 years of Bank guarantees experience, CSDG certified candidate preferred 
• Excellent knowledge of multiple Trade products and processes 
• Working knowledge of ICC rules (UCP/ISBP/URC etc), CDCS / CSDG certification preferred.
• Ability to work in all shifts as per business requirement
• Understanding of back office operations, audits, risk.
