About the Role

As a Head of Trade Control & Brokerage Services in our Institutional Markets team, you’ll be responsible for directing and strategically leading a diverse global team across Singapore, China and Bangalore.

Reporting to the Head of Front Office Business Support, the role is responsible in delivering effective control and business supervision around rogues’ risk trading, mitigate operational risk and protect the franchise through assertive operations of validation and non-validation controls and timely reconciliation and process of brokerage invoices.

This role works closely with various stakeholders including Trading, Sales, Business Managers, Desk Risk Managers, Markets Surveillance, Control testing teams, Audit and Technology teams.

What will your day look like?

The Trade Control and Brokerage Services Team is the primary owner of trade validation, non-validation transactional controls and brokerage invoice processing function. The team is responsible for:

• Data quality control for manually captured new trade tickets.
• Front Office Supervision controls monitoring of Cancel & Amends, Off-Markets Rate and Backdated transactions.
• Trade reconciliations between trade capture systems.
• Non-validation transactional controls such as flat book and block deal monitoring.
• Brokerage Services in reconciling and arranging brokerage invoices for payment.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• 10+ years of experience in Control Testing and Audit.
• Extensive knowledge of Markets Products (FX, Rates, Commodities, Credit).
• Extensive experience in working closely with control testing/auditors/regulators.
• Excellent knowledge of Operational Risk Management principles, Trade Surveillance, Reconciliations and Controls.
• Ability to engineer new controls to adapt to regulatory needs.
• Provide effective business support services, including the change management to a new operating model, within the agreed cost and resourcing budget
• Maintain and define robust process, procedures and operating model to minimise operational losses.
• Build collaborative relationships with business partners and other key stakeholders.
• Review, document and enhance existing controls and parameters.
