About the Role


As an Assurance Manager (Change Risk Management) in our Technology Assurance and Controls team, you will drive technology operational risk excellence using the ANZ Risk Management Framework. You will be supporting Group Technology domains and their teams to ensure their key risks are understood and well managed.

What will your day look like?


As an Assurance Manager (Change Risk Management), you will: 

•    Lead a team of Technology assurance professionals providing 1st Line technology assurance services to Group Technology Domains and divisional CIOs. 
•    Manage capacity and relative priorities, ensuring that work is prioritised, backlogged, and addressed in line to demand. 
•    Track team performance and drive the operating rhythm.
•    Assess the risk of changes within Technology via Non-Financial Risk Assessments (NFRAs).
•    Work with delivery teams to identify the risks associated with their changes.
•    Take ownership to ensure the process to deliver Non-Financial Risk Assessments is efficient, prudent and within framework guidelines.  
•    Take on risk / compliance related initiatives and drive them to completion. 
•    Use your strong communication and presentation skills to connect with senior leaders in Risk and Technology Domains
•    Enjoy providing guidance and on the job training to junior team members.
•    Supporting the improvement in risk capability/culture/awareness 
•    Attending and participating in, and assisting in the production of reporting for, risk committees and other Non-Financial Risk Forums as required

 

What will you bring?



To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    Solid experience (8-12 years) working in a first line or second line Technology risk function, assessing Technology risk, preferably in a large corporate environment.
•    Experience leading a team of risk professionals (e.g. assurance, risk, audit, compliance etc), managing demand, resourcing and priorities 
•    Experience completing operational risk assessments or non-financial risk assessments in a Technology environment
•    An ability to support the execution of a roadmap for the near and longer term. 
•    Proven experience providing risk and assurance expertise, ideally to Technology based business units.
•    Relevant tertiary qualifications relating to Information Technology
•    Professional accreditations such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP will be considered favourably.
•    Strong communication and stakeholder management stills, with an ability to build relationships and influence at executive level across Group Technology. 
•    Ability to tailor your communication to your audience, and in a simple manner which is easily understood by non-risk practitioners. 
•    Good stakeholder management stills, with an ability to build relationships and influence at executive level across Group Technology. 
•    Experience in working with diverse teams across different locations. 
•    Knowledge and experience of regulatory and compliance requirements 
•    Growth mindset, ready to engage and influence stakeholders and team members. 
•    Thorough understanding of operational risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, delivery standards and control frameworks (CObIT, NIST, ISO27K, etc.)
