About the Role
As a Technical Lead in our Team, you’ll work closely with the Automation Delivery Director, Tech Area Architect and the Divisional squads set to design, build and deliver world class Automation and AI solutions within Automation Centre. You will be responsible for Solution Design, Development and end to end delivery of automation initiatives by partnering with Operations, Technology and Vendor partners.

You will enforce best practices for development teams and help guide the overarching platform architectural needs.

What will your day look like?
As a Technical Lead, you will:
- Work closely with the Process Discovery Managers and the Tech Area Architect in performing feasibility assessments and arrive at target Automation and AI solutions for an end-to-end business process.
- Work with cross-functional squads, technology and vendor partners in identifying and implementing automation solutions.
- Prepare both High level and Low-level solution designs in accordance with the ANZ Delivery Framework, project sizing and mobilize resourcing and people.
- Guide and train team members on best practices, conduct code reviews, engineering guardrails, troubleshoot and resolve technical complexities and issues during the development and implementation journey.
- As part of governance, establish and run engineering guilds to ensure design and development is in accordance with the technology standards.
- As a lead, you will have engineers reporting into you and ensures regular check-ins, career and growth plans documented and builds high performing teams.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering with an experience of > 10 years in the Design and Development of Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence solutions.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Java, API Development and Integration, exposure to Data Engineering, Deployment experience on serverless architecture and cloud platforms, Version Control.
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar large Automation and AI projects.
- Experience with RPA tools like Automation Anywhere, Workflow, Generative AI and Prompt Engineering.
Good to have:
- Machine Learning: Understanding of machine learning algorithms and how they can be applied to improve automation tasks.
- Database Management: Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) like SQL, NoSQL, and their integration with automation tools.
- User Interface (UI) Design: Skills in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for automation solutions to improve user experience.
