About the Role

 

As a Technical Analyst within the NZ Technology Pacific Domain, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery and operational governance of technology initiatives. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technology Delivery & Governance Analyst to help ensure technology services are delivered in line with governance, risk, and control expectations.

 

This role has a strong focus on technical governance, including backup strategies, vulnerability and patch management, and database access reviews. You will work closely with both technology and business teams to ensure delivery is well-coordinated and governance standards are consistently upheld.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Support the Tech Area Lead, project/delivery managers, and PMO to enable effective project delivery by reconciling budgets, forecasts, and actual spend, and providing financial analysis to support informed decision‑making.
  • Support the Tech Area Lead with overall financial and spend management for the Tech Area.
  • Maintain and monitor project status reporting, including schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and key milestones.
  • Collaborate with project managers to support delivery planning, release scheduling, and overall project coordination.
  • Work with vendors to manage billing processes and validate resource and cost allocations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, managers, and key stakeholders, supporting clear project communication and team alignment.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including agile practices, to improve efficiency across NZ Technology.
  • Identify, propose, and help implement new solutions or process improvements within the Tech Area.
  • Ensure adherence to ANZ policies, procedures, and project management standards, including the use of approved templates and practices.
  • Support delivery outcomes by fostering team coherence, collaboration, and a customer‑focused culture aligned to ANZ values.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant teams to present a united and credible delivery function to the wider organisation.
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and actively support the Tech Area Lead in the success of the overall programme.

What will you bring?

 

  • 7+ years’ experience in PMO, Program, or Project environments.
  • Strong understanding of PMO practices, financial management, reporting, risk management, and project governance, ideally within ANZ or a similar environment.
  • Experience in project coordination, release management, or business analysis.
  • Proven ability to work independently as a proactive, self‑sufficient self‑starter, while effectively balancing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and business units.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, data flow, application architecture, and operational controls.
  • Working knowledge of security patching, vulnerability management, backup strategies, and SLA‑driven processes.
  • Experience with database access controls, audit processes, and regular access reviews (desirable).
  • Ability to maintain governance documentation, including access controls, compliance records, and operational procedures.
  • Experience working closely with security, infrastructure, and audit teams to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow (desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
