About the Role
As a Technical Analyst in the NZ Pacific domain, working in a fast‑paced environment such as ANZ, managing contractual commitments has become increasingly complex. There is a growing need to deliver services and goods efficiently while ensuring adherence to regulatory, legal, and ANZ policy requirements.
The Operational Contract Manager is responsible for ensuring that both Vendors and ANZ meet their contractual and performance obligations, while supporting ANZ in minimising commercial and operational risks.

What will your day look like?
- Monitor and track vendor performance against contractual obligations, service levels, and agreed outcomes.
- Lead monthly and periodic vendor performance and governance meetings to assess delivery, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Validate with internal operational teams that contracted deliverables and services have been met prior to payment approval.
- Interpret and manage contract pricing schedules, commercial terms, and associated conditions.
- Ensure all applicable discounts, rebates, and service credits are accurately identified, captured, and applied, including credits arising from underperformance.
- Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with contract terms.
- Measure, track, and report on contracted commercial outcomes for material and strategic contracts.
- Track and communicate all realized and forecast benefits, including both tangible financial value and subjective business outcomes.
- Plan, lead, and execute governance forums and account connect meetings in line with agreed schedules, ensuring strategic objectives are achieved.
- Maintain accurate records of all governance meetings, decisions, action items, and supporting documentation used to validate contractual compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and risk requirements, including CPS 230.
- Drive continuous improvement in Operational Contract Management practices across the NZ and Group Technology domains.
- Lead the uplift and ongoing development of OCM capability and skills across the Technology NZ domain
What will you bring?
- Must have 7+years of relevant experience
- Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to influence and drive understanding across diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of technology concepts and their application in a modern enterprise environment, including cloud-based platforms and services.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement capabilities at both operational and senior leadership levels.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with the confidence to lead forums, challenge constructively, and drive outcomes.
- Solid business and commercial management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- High levels of initiative, accountability, and problem-solving ability.
- Experience managing cloud contracts, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and SaaS arrangements.
- Experience managing complex enterprise licensing agreements, including IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle contracts.
