About the Role

 


As a PAUM Analyst in Security Initiatives & Identity Management - Technology Operations, NZ (Based in GCC) you’ll play a key role in helping to secure and manage privileged access to critical business platforms, sensitive assets, tools, and information. This role manage the tribe backlog, working closely with others to prioritise work, manage interdependencies and distil features to epics. TPLs define what success looks like for the tribe and then measure their progress against that. In some cases, this role will also manage a chapter of Product Owners.

What will your day look like?

 


This role is accountable for:

•    Creating and managing Admin Role Groups across NZ domains (Production and Non-Production), including processing approved modifications from group owners 
•    Provisioning and maintaining Admin Accounts, including onboarding, updates, and decommissioning access in line with line manager approvals 
•    Establishing and maintaining Service and Generic Accounts within NZ domains, ensuring appropriate controls are applied 
•    Supporting teams to ensure they have the appropriate level of access to perform their roles effectively 
•    Maintaining strong governance over privileged access and Active Directory environments 
•    Analysing privileged access use cases to ensure maximum protection of credentials while balancing usability 
•    Maintaining and evolving the Privileged Role-Based Access Model to align with organisational and security requirements 
•    Reviewing and approving automated privileged access requests where appropriate, and securely provisioning manual access for exception cases, ensuring the organisation remains protected

 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    The Privileged Access squad aims to secure and manage privileged access to critical business platforms, sensitive assets, tools, and information by enforcing strong controls such as MFA, ticket validation, session management and recording, and least-privilege principles within a robust role-based access model. Through these measures, the squad reduces the risk of unauthorised access, fraud, and technology incidents, while enabling secure and efficient access for users and supporting the organisation’s operational needs.
•    As the I&AM Analyst, you will be a part of the squad working to maintain and manage privileged access provisioning across the NZ Bank.


The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are: 

•    A strong security-first mindset, with a proactive approach to managing risk and protecting sensitive assets 
•    Broad understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, tools, and processes 
•    Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret access patterns and identify risks or anomalies 
•    Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
•    A motivated, self-starter with the ability to take ownership of problems and drive them through from inception to completion 


‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences


•    Proficiency in PowerShell scripting to support automation, efficiency, and operational improvements 
•    A strong understanding of delivering against SLAs and operational expectations
•    Demonstrated experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) principles, controls, and governance frameworks
•    Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Azure AD, including administration and access control 
•    Cyberark ‘Defender’ certification 
•    Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
