About the Role

 

The Delivery Specialist is part of the Financial Crime Delivery team that provides support to ensure strategic and operational objectives are achieved and in line with agreed service offerings. The role is responsible for several key areas

 

  • The creation, prioritisation, sequencing and maintenance of the product backlog. 
  • Leading the planning of features/stories/EPICs and developing a product roadmap based on capacity, and value.  
  • Participation and/or lead delivery ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, showcases and retrospectives.  
  • Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of each release and sprint.  
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure the squad is building the right product and is providing business value.  
  • Provide ongoing support for platforms as required (Problem and incident management)

What will your day look like?

 

  • Prioritisation – Maintaining the Product Backlog (Sanctions and AML) and effectively prioritising the allocation of technology team members to ensure effective and efficient delivery of change related to strategic initiatives and BAU change.  
  • Triaging of new work requests in conjunction with the Lead Business analysts, to determine and document all impacts.   
  • Planning – Coordinating the roadmap of EPICs in conjunction with technology partners and the Financial Crime Portfolio to commit to deliverables that will be delivered by the Portfolio over a period of time ensuring impact to the portfolio is defined, understood and agreed.  
  • Contributing to Delivery Excellence to increase the delivery capability within the Delivery team and within the Financial crime Portfolio.  
  • Promotion and role modelling of delivery excellence best practices and create learning opportunities and define best practice for direct reports.  
  • Management of effective and efficient delivery and management of risks, issues and dependencies
  • Stakeholder management including management of project stakeholders across FCP, divisions and senior staff. 
  • Providing ongoing support for platforms (problem and incident management)

  • Identifying and understanding the business problem and the impact of the proposed solution on the organisation's operations.

  • Proactively identifying, supporting and driving opportunities for change

  • Delivery of BAU initiatives ensuring adherence to the FCP Delivery framework and the ANZ delivery and governance framework

  • Understanding of current and prospective customer needs and expectations.  

  • Use metrics to ensure feedback from stakeholders is captured as well as continually reviewing the product progress.  

What will you bring?


‘Must have’ knowledge, skills and experiences.
 

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in Financial Crime processes.  
  • Technical knowledge of the financial crime systems for AML and Sanctions 
  • Equivalent experience of at least 5+ years in project delivery, governance and change management.   
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering complex initiatives end to end.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills – including Exco, Divisional delivery teams, technology partners and internal stakeholders.  
  • Comfortable to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and work hands-on, collaboratively with passion and energy as a key member of a fast-paced quick-thinking team.
  • Analytical, strong ability to influence without direct authority and demonstrated learning agility to digest complex and large information sets to draw insights, conclusions and actions. 
  • Proactive attitude to undertake responsibilities that add value, ability to simplify practises, and drive efficiency.
  • Experience in agile software development methodologies
  • Leadership capabilities to drive growth and development within the team and to implement excellence in delivery.

  • Broad knowledge of laws, and other financial crime obligations locally and internationally
  • Data analytics and interpretation
  • Systems analysis and functional design.  


Qualifications

 

  • Tertiary degree Business, Information Systems, Project management or related field and/or equivalent on the job experience
