About the Role

 


The Senior Integration Engineer plays a key role in optimising and managing integration platform processes across IMS and Temporal. This role ensures seamless integration of systems and applications by combining strong technical expertise, deep understanding of integration methodologies, and the ability to collaborate across business and engineering teams. 


You will be part of a high performing cross functional Agile team and work closely with onshore Platform teams to support and uplift operational management of the platform.

What will your day look like?


As a Software Engineer, 

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the GCC Integration team. 
  • Collaborate with New Zealand technical teams and Product Owners to define platform health scope and operating objectives. 
  • Contribute to release management activities for Microservices & Temporal platforms. 
  • Maintain and enhance operational documentation. 
  • Design and implement automation solutions for recurring BAU tasks. 
  • Partner with development teams during service handover and release cycles. 
  • Investigate vulnerabilities before routing fixes to engineering teams. 
  • Execute test plans to validate integration solutions and ensure platform reliability. 
  • Conduct integration issue diagnosis, rootcause analysis, and implement corrective actions. 
  • Stay updated on integration trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements. 

What will you bring?

 

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 6–8 years of integration or platform engineering experience with a strong focus on integration platforms. 
  • DevOps experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and support (Node.js/Java). 
  • Experience working in fully automated deployment environments. 
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CodeFresh. 
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging instrumentation. 
  • Experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift/EKS) and cloud environments (onprem/AWS/GCP/Azure). 
  • Strong testing knowledge and experience with test execution. 
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile teams. 
  • Experience with planning, scheduling, Jira & Confluence. 


Good toHave Skills 

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum ways of working. 
  • Knowledge of API management and microservices architecture. 
  • Certifications in integration-related technologies or platforms. 
  • Experience with GitHub Actions.
