About the Role


As a Software Engineer in our Institutional space you’ll play a key role in helping to deliver full end-to-end world class products and services to our global Institutional, Corporate and Commercial customers across Asia. It will incorporate capabilities across areas of Investment Banking, Trading and Sales, Cash Management, Wholesale Lending and Trade Finance and with a single view of a customer to better integrate business and technology in creating a seamless customer experience.

What will your day look like?


As an Engineer, you will:

•    Design, build, test and support a secure, robust, and scalable application ecosystem in Core Banking.
•    Solving ambiguous and complex engineering problems.
•    Work collaboratively within and across teams, Tech Areas and Domains.
•    Implements a culture within the Tech Area and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality, and documentation.
•    Provide ongoing support for platforms as required e.g., problem and incident management.
•    Help build a great Engineering team by mentoring others and leading by example.
•    Contribute to recruiting and hiring great people and engineers.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:


•    Extensive hands-on programming experience on Hogan and Mainframe environment.
•    In depth knowledge of DB2 and IMS database systems.
•    Good understanding of CACHE and Orion Mainframe systems or any core banking systems with experience on Hogan Deposit products.
•    Good understanding of Agile practices and working experience as scrum master. 
•    Good communication skills. 
•    Supports in developing technical plans and schedules for design and developing projects.   
•    Support and execute improvement initiatives to internal processes and work practices.
•    Understand and learn new technologies where required and apply learnings based on the project needs.
