About the Role


As an Engineer in our Secrets Management Platform team within the Identity & Access Management (IAM) domain, you’ll design, build, and operate secure and scalable Secrets Management capabilities across hybrid cloud environments using HashiCorp Vault. You will also contribute to platform architecture, improve reliability, drive automation, and mentor other engineers.

Work Hours: Regular (7 AM to 4 PM/ 8 AM to 5 PM)

What will your day look like?


As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Architecture & Design

  • Design scalable, highly available HashiCorp Vault deployments across hybrid environments.
  • Develop reusable patterns for consuming secrets management services.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, integration designs, and technical documentation.

 

Development

  • Build and enhance platform integration patterns using Python, Shell, and Terraform.
  • Implement automation and self-service capabilities for platform consumers.

 

Cloud Engineering

  • Manage Vault deployments across AWS, GCP, and OpenShift using IaC tools (Terraform, Helm).
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and telemetry for platform components.
  • Ensure secure configuration of cloud services.

Operations and Reliability

  • Drive upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery for Secrets Management Platform.
  • Create runbooks and operational procedures.
  • Participate in incident triage and resolution to ensure platform reliability.

 

Governance & Security

  • Implement IAM governance practices including RBAC, least privilege, and separation of duties.
  • Collaborate with Security/GRC teams on audit, compliance, threat modelling, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure governed, auditable handling of cloud native secrets.

 

Mentoring & Leadership

  • Guide junior engineers through code reviews and best practice coaching.
  • Communicate technical direction, platform roadmap, and decisions to stakeholders.

 

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify automation opportunities across provisioning, lifecycle processes, and platform operations.
  • Improve CI/CD processes, testing frameworks, and deployment pipelines.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • 5+ years of software engineering or identity engineering experience. 
  • Handson experience with HashiCorp Vault or equivalent secrets management solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts (RBAC, provisioning, entitlements, governance). 
  • Experience with microservices, Kubernetes/Docker, and cloud platforms. 
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Codefresh, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. 
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and mentoring skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 

Good to have skills:

  • Intermediate Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Programming/scripting in Python, Shell/Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
  • Exposure to event management tools (Splunk, Elasticsearch).
  • Self-starter with ability to take solutions from concept to delivery.
