About the Role

 

As a Senior Operations Support Officer, you will be part of a global hub team supporting Institutional clients across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and New York. Working closely with in-country teams, Relationship Managers, Sales, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, you will play a critical role in delivering timely and high-quality client onboarding and review activities across the Institutional & Markets business. You will be responsible for ensuring customer information is accurate, complete, and aligned with Group AML/KYC standards, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, while maintaining data integrity across multiple systems and platforms.

 

You will support the onboarding of New-to-Bank clients and conduct Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD), periodic reviews, and remediation activities across a range of risk levels and client types. This includes managing client lifecycle events such as name changes, event-driven reviews, mergers and acquisitions, offboarding, SSI collection and maintenance, system linkages, and customer profile remediation.The role requires strong collaboration across Front Office, Compliance, Operations, and key stakeholders to deliver a seamless and compliant client experience.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Senior Operations Support Officer, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Executing Maker and Checker activities across KYC onboarding and Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) processes to support efficient business-as-usual operations.
  • Performing periodic, event-driven, and remediation reviews of client KYC records across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to global standards, local regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Reviewing and validating KYC documentation to ensure compliance with risk, audit, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain required documentation, verify customer information, and facilitate timely completion of due diligence activities.
  • Maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of customer data across onboarding platforms and banking systems, ensuring appropriate profile setup and system linkages.
  • Supporting team capability building through knowledge sharing, coaching, and on-the-job training for new team members.
  • Conducting data quality checks, spot reviews, and quality assurance activities in line with the established quality control framework.
  • Managing escalations proactively and contributing to reporting requirements that support effective operational risk management and governance.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to work across different time zones and effectively engage with global stakeholders to meet business and client needs.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial services, regulatory compliance, AML/KYC, or a related discipline, with exposure to quality assurance activities being highly desirable. 
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a KYC operations environment, with demonstrated expertise in Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) across a range of risk categories and policy frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC requirements across all customer risk levels (Low, Medium, High, and Extreme) and experience working with a diverse range of client types, including Corporates, Commercial Entities, Trusts, Charities, Foundations, Private Companies, Banks, Financial Institutions, Government Entities, Listed Companies, and Regulated Organisations.
  • Proven ability to achieve KPIs, SLAs, and quality objectives while ensuring KYC reviews and customer due diligence files meet audit, risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing policy and procedural changes, maintaining accurate process documentation, and supporting training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
